Kansas City buds Ahtme are releasing their sophomore album “Mephitic” this Friday July 24th. Not only are they one of the most under appreciated bands right now, they’re equally as nice guys as well. I was hooked on the moment I was able to check out “Sewerborn” which was their first album […]
Brutal Death Metal/Slam/Tech legends Defeated Sanity have graced their brutal presence again with their upcoming release “The Sanguinary Impetus” out on July 24th on Willowtip Records. One big change this time around is drummer Lille Gruber did the guitars for the album and well it definitely influenced the album in […]
One of my favorite bands in the avant-garde/experimental metal scene Imperial Triumphant is releasing their album “Alphaville” later this month on July 31st. Somehow, someway I was able to get my grimy hands on this gloriously unusual piece of music by the New York trio. The older I get, the […]
Visions Of Disfigurment is releasing their massive slamming sophomore album “Aeons Of Misery” tomorrow June 8th. This newer band has a lot to prove and boy did they blow my expectations away. It’s leaps and bounds better than the 2016 debut “Abhorrent Extinction” which was my introduction to the […]
Aronious is releasing their Artisan Era debut album “Perspicacity” today and it’s quite a monster. It’s more melodic and symphonic than a good amount of technical death metal, and quite honestly…..actually has lots of groove. Lots of bands in the genre seem to outdo each other but Aronious is […]
One of Experimental Metal’s sought after newcomers Sutrah have given us one heck of a follow up to their 2017 debut “Dunes” many of us thought we wouldn’t get. Sutrah is different than a lot of the bands nowadays in the progressive and technical genres in many ways. They’re a […]
Annihilator is releasing yet another album tomorrow January 24th, their SEVENTEENTH STUDIO ALBUM. Jeff Waters is one of my long time running favorites on guitar and proves yet again how great he is as an artist. After all this time, countless bandmates, battling sobriety and staying healthy…..the guy STILL […]
Yuval Ron has a new album out titled “Somewhere In This Universe, Somebody Hits A Drum”. It’s definitely different…..and we do different here at TMR. It’s an instrumental record (for the most part) based on well, you can tell……space. It’s a cinematic experience like you’re listening to a movie […]
Ahhh if there was anything that’d get me to start writing again, it could only be something as nasty as this. Our pals in Gutted Alive are about to release their third LP, Killing Desire December 13! Though the entirety of the album is new, the Gutted guys have […]
Modern Progressive Metal newcomers Mimesis are releasing their debut tomorrow. The band gave me an honorable opportunity to premiere their debut track (also includes a rather interesting interview, may I add!). If you’re into that style, you’ll love this new band. I also got my hands on this early thanks to the […]
