Unburnt is releasing their EP “Arcane Evolution” today August 16th. One of the better parts of the band who brings it all together is vocalist Eric Burnet. The band brings a really fresh sound to the blackened death metal genre. They’re a straightforward project who doesn’t hide behind anything and leaves […]
Brutal Death Metal legends Devourment are releasing “Obscene Majesty” this Friday August 16th. It’s also their first album in a handful of years since 2013’s “Conceived In Sewage”. Great bands taking their time to write new music is just fine with me, no matter how antsy or anxious I get […]
With the same problem of a lot new releases every year, no matter how hard you try it’s tough to keep up with them all (no matter the genre). I knew Zakk Jones was releasing this album and it totally passed me by with the flurry of releases going into […]
One of my favorite death metal bands of today are the underdogs Disentomb is releasing their first album in 5 years with “The Decaying Light”. It’s been a while since their 2014 smasher “Misery” and they’re not really like many death metal bands. They add a lot of slower doom […]
Brand Of Sacrifice is releasing their nasty full length album “Godhand” this Friday July 5th. Their EP “The Interstice” caught my attention last year, most notably with their nasty grooves and vocals as well. This whole band just clicks, and it comes to fruition on “Godhand”. It also caught […]
Prog rock/jazz/fusion shredders Thank You Scientist recently released this album that’s been on repeat for me lately. There’s a billion reasons why they they were our artist of the month recently. The boys released this album and I never even knew it was coming out! It was a ridiculously great surprise. […]
One of death metal’s most consistent and under appreciated bands Beheaded released another great album recently “Only Death Can Save You”. These guys are one of my personal favorite bands and trumped the 2017 banger “Beast Incarnate” (I thoroughly enjoyed that record!). What I dig a lot about the band […]
Virginity Fraud is releasing their brutal and disgusting debut “Rejected By Death, An Imperishable Torment” tomorrow June 20th and I have the low down on this nasty album. If you’re familiar with Facelift Deformation this is the guitarist Wilson’s latest project. The band is making some stellar waves lately, […]
Atlas Entity is releasing their sophomore album this Friday June 14th, and it’s a serious monster. I’ve listened to this album a few times to let it sink in more each listen. It’s not an overdone technical piece to the point there isn’t any flow, and flow this album does. […]
The project that is (unfortunately is no more after this release) Dream Void have an upcoming offering “Divinization” that is a serious banger. The technical/progressive death metal band is closing the doors with a serious band. I’ve loved their mix of tech and prog especially in the latest release. They […]
