Black metal’s most influential and charismatic frontman Abbath (ex-Immortal) is back to kick us in the balls again with another solo album! The band released “Harvest Pyre” upon us leeches today.  Abbath’s music means a lot to me, as it was the start for me into the world of black metal.  If this man never existed, I may have never personally ventured into the genre.  What else do you expect from a legendary black metal musician? Great riffs, awesome vocals and rhythms.  It has a great mix of speeds, very emotional and still very heavy.  Abbath’s voice is slapped all over this song.  It’s a very good song, and shaping up to be better than the first solo album from a few years ago.  “Outstrider” is due out July 5th through Season Of Mist.  Let’s make this summer a bit colder and grimmer, shall we?
