Death/grind outfit Dripping Decay is releasing their EP “Ripping Remains” on January 26th. Last year’s “Festering Grotesqueries”LP was such a stellar debut that it has me hyped for the 2nd release. “Ripping Remains” offers 6 tracks and the last being a cover of Halloween’s “Trick Or Treat”. DD gives you a heavy, quick death/grind assault with some guitar solos and nice grooves. The vocals are a strong point of their sound and a nice nod to the classic death metal vocal style. Grindcore has a touch of punk influence in it and diversifies their sound even more.
The drumming on this upcoming EP is solid yet again. It’s not chocked full with a ton of fills and holds a steady groove. This is what I’ve come to expect from DD and this EP is an extension from their debut full length. They’re an awesome new band that is already gracing us with another release in “Ripping Remains”. It’s a simple, shorter straightforward banger that checks a couple different metal subgenres.

“Ripping Remains” is an EP and will get lost in the shuffle with the thousands of full lengths that will be released this year. Yet again there is a lot of high profile bands releasing albums and EP’s don’t get as much love. Mark this one down earlier this year to check out and support some solid death/grind!
