Tech death heathens Fleshbore are our featured band of the month for January 2025! The last release “Embers Gathering” from 2021 is my favorite of theirs. But the guys are coming out with a new album “Painted Paradise” on the 24th. The band recently signed to Transcending Obscurity Records. I am stereotyping but that label is so good and I have a gut feeling this record will be their finest hour. Very few tech bands peak my interest now than they did the first few years I ran this website. Fleshbore is actually heavy, and that’s my beef with the genre. The compositions are technical and similar, but some of the bands forget the DEATH part. Death metal is meant to be heavy, not thin and cheap.
