Buffalo has had a lot of bands come and go. It’s been a while since I featured a band out of my area. The Last Reign is an oddity in the sense they’ve been a thing since 2015 and near a 10 year anniversary. I can’t tell you how many bands have come and gone in a ten year span here. This band is the creativity of guitarist Brian Platter who has a huge love for melodic death metal. That’s what his band brings to the table musically.

Personality wise, you can’t possibly give the man enough credit for keeping his dream alive. Platter has gone through lineup change after lineup change and TLR is still alive and breathing. MDM isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and isn’t always my choice personally. I listen to them from time to time and brings me back to the glory days of In Flames. He’s put them on various tours and weekenders, trying to get them to many spots outside of our city.
