New year, new month, new featured band. I’ve been listening to a ton of Gruesome lately, one of the legendary Matt Harvey’s side projects. If you don’t know, it’s a tribute to the style of Death in many ways including the album covers. It’s such a tight band that should be celebrated even more than they are. With the Death To All tribute and newest Left To Die, Harvey was consistently busy including his own band Exhumed. It’s great there’s musicians like him keeping the legacy of Death alive to the younger generation(s). Gruesome is an awesome version of that composing songs in that style (each release has been inspried by a different Death album).

Gruesome has a handful of releases since its beginning in 2016 with the debut “Savage Land”. I’ve been hooked since then and if you haven’t heard of them this is a good opportunity to. Enjoy the old school brutality of GRUESOME!
