Hideous Divinity is back with another stellar effort in “Unextinct” coming out tomorrow March 22nd of 2024. They are one of a few technical death metal bands that can groove really well. One thing the band focused on with this release was atmosphere and they succeeded to say the least. The songs are a bit longer this time around as well, some getting up to 8 minutes or longer.
The band comments: “Unextinct sets a new milestone for HIDEOUS DIVINITY, another step towards musical unspoken terror and frenzy. Every song has become a world with its own dissonances and rules made to be broken. A soundtrack of a shipwreck with the best sound production we’ve ever had: our brother Stefano ‘Saul’ Morabito at 16th Cellar Studios really outdid himself. The new creature is coming at you on March, 22nd.”
Hideous Divinity always puts out compelling, thoughtful music. “Unextinct” is more than a collection of songs; it is a philosophical inquiry set to the relentless cadence of death metal. The album explores the divine horror of numinous life and humanity’s futile sovereignty. With each track acting as a eulogy, “Unextinct” invites listeners to embrace the courage to confront the unnamable, unthinkable forces that dictate our ephemeral existence. The production is really crisp and the mix is nice too.

“Unextinct” has a little blackened death metal vibe to it, yet still remains true to their sound. The band has never put a band album out but this might just be their best effort yet. They tried a few new things and worked really well honestly. The performances are stellar all around expecting nothing but top tier material from Hideous Divinity. It’s such a well written album and it shows in the end result. The album will be released on their record label Century Media Records.
