One of my favorite bands to carry the progressive death metal torch Black Crown Initiate are releasing an ever so important album this Friday August 7th. Our Pennslyvania neighbors personally gathered my interest years ago when they were a minor support slot for death/grind legends Cattle Decapitation when the band […]
One of my favorite bands in the avant-garde/experimental metal scene Imperial Triumphant is releasing their album “Alphaville” later this month on July 31st. Somehow, someway I was able to get my grimy hands on this gloriously unusual piece of music by the New York trio. The older I get, the […]
Sutrah recently released the song “Lethe” from the band’s Artisan Era debut “Alethia”. The EP is scheduled to release on March 13th and you’re going to want to check out the song. If you’re familiar with this great band you know what to expect. Great guitar work, gutturals […]
Hey guys! I’m back yet again with my best of 2019 article! I’ve added some more categories yet again, so this will even further expand from 2018. Another reminder THERE IS NO ORDER, I JUST JOTTED DOWN WHAT I LOVED THIS YEAR. I doubt many people will even pay […]
Modern Progressive Metal newcomers Mimesis are releasing their debut tomorrow. The band gave me an honorable opportunity to premiere their debut track (also includes a rather interesting interview, may I add!). If you’re into that style, you’ll love this new band. I also got my hands on this early thanks to the […]
Singularity have released another gnarly single from their upcoming album “Place Of Chains”. This new song “Sisyphean Cycle” takes you into their more blackened tech death sound with a ton more keyboards than you’re used to. There’s some sweet grooves on guitar and on drums. You can listen to […]
Omnibeing released their album “Polytheria” within the last week which is the hard work of Vitaly Shemetovets. It’s an instrumental progressive metal project that’s a bit different from what’s expected stereotypically in the genre. Vitaly isn’t a true shredder, he has a ton and i mean a TON of […]
The recent Atlas Entity album is a legitimate masterpiece that needs more waves in the media. I had some questions for band mastermind Alex Gallegos who fortunately gave us some stellar answers. Enjoy the interview and check out the latest progressive death metal opus at the link above! TMR: What […]
Pathos And Logos have released another single recently titled “Ministry Of Defense”. It’s as groovy as some of the other singles they’ve released already, and it’s very melodic like the majority of their pieces. It’s less ambient than some of their other songs for the most part, but a […]
Instrumentalists Between The Planets have released a new single titled “Metamorphosis”. I was a big fan discovering them within a few months of starting TMR regarding their full length “Of Inner Sight”. The melodies, rhythms and amazing atmospheric elements set them apart from many instrumental bands. They have been working on […]
