Blackened death band Visitant has released their debut album “Rubidium”. I’ve been looking forward to this release for quite some time and it was worth the late. If you know me, I can’t stand the vast majority of black metal. But when bands make it more artistic, weird […]
Yesterday August 16th 2025, Buffalo’s own Cannibal Corpse released their debut album in 1990 “Eaten Back To Life”. One of death metal’s most revered debuts is almost as old as me. Holy shit. Personally, the debut will always be one of my favorite CC albums. It’s not technical, […]
The latest Deliquesce dropped recently and it’s a more unique piece of death metal your average human will credit it for. I’m not saying it’s crazy like a Defeated Sanity album, but it’s genre blending and bending. While maintaining a classic 90’s brutal death metal sound and production, […]
Stoner death metal goofs Bonginator are our August 2025 band of the month! Like stoner comedy, brutality, synth and 80’s homages? That and more is rolled into one fat ass joint called Bonginator. The guys just put out a new song called “Pizza Time” an homage to the […]
Orsimer is dropping their 3 song debut “Woven Abberation” August 1st. It’s the brainchild of Mike Neely (Primitive Brutality, ex Arborize and ex Cordyceps). He actually used to put out articles on our site and I’m very grateful for his friendship. Mike is responsible for everything in this […]
The debut EP of Disgustingest is exactly that. This one man force Kendrick Lemke (ex Bodybox) put on a brutal showing. “Purging Suppuration” is a relentlessly heavy release. This quick ten minute experience makes you go back for more after 4 tracks. One of the best part about […]
Revocation has dropped a second single recently titled “Cronenberged”. The new jam is taken from the upcoming album “New Masters, New Gods”. Track listing is as follows: The track featuring Gilad Hekselman really intrigues me. He’s my favorite jazz guitarist and wonder what section Dave has him rip […]
New Standard Elite never disappoints. They always sign the hottest bands in the brutal death metal and slam world. Half the time, they sign bands with members as young as high schoolers or pre teens. See: Anatomize, Anal Stabwound and Virologist. They’ve signed some nasty brutal/tech like Theurgy, […]
One of our city’s heavier bands Damages has dropped quite possibly their heaviest song yet. “Belligerence” is their latest effort that released today. They are a heavier melodic death metal band and their live shows never disappoint. This track I loved live and caught a preview of it […]
Buffalo’s premiere death metal trio Lacerate put out their second EP “Anabolic” yesterday April 20th. The debut was a solid start, but man oh man this release. The boys went further into death metal territory, finally adding some blast beats and tremolo riffs. There’s even more nastier, filthier […]
